Learning analytics project sign up is still open!

Before you guys finish up for the semester, I just wanted to send out one last request for you to sign up for the learning analytics project.

There’s a whole bunch of info about the project in an earlier post, but in a nutshell, this project allows you to get access to an analytics dashboard for data you’ve generated in IFN614, both here on the unit site and also on Twitter.

In the next couple of weeks, you’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a classification study, where you can review classifications that have been programmatically applied to your content and reclassify it if needed. It’s a librarian’s dream! (This is completely optional, by the way. You can still participate in the project and get access to your dashboard without doing the classification activity.)

Haven’t signed up yet? Sign up now!

Make sure you put in your Twitter ID and your IFN614 site username. Your site username is the name you use to log in to the site. If you’re not sure what that is, go to your profile and have a look at the username that appears in the URL. For example:

  • my profile is at http://2015.informationprograms.info/user/kate/ and the ‘kate’ is my username
  • Clare’s profile is at http://2015.informationprograms.info/user/clare/ and the ‘clare’ is her username

You don’t need to worry about Facebook, seeing we’re not using it in this unit.

Make sure you select IFN614 from the list of available units, or your registration won’t work!

Here’s a screen capture explaining the sign up form.
